ApHER participated at ISPOR Europe 2018 and presented a study “COSTS OF MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS IN DENMARK: A REGISTER BASED STUDY”. The unique registers in Denmark allow us to include in the study all individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Denmark. All Individuals with MS in 2014 were ascertained and characterized by treatment from the Danish health and social registers and matched with controls by age and gender. The costs attributable to MS disease were analyzed by comparing the healthcare costs, nursing care costs and productivity losses between the cohorts. The study found that MS has a major impact on societal costs.
